September Program — Lace Study Box

Posted on September 9th, 2014

EGA Lace Box Meeting info

The Lace box contains samples of many types of antique and modern laces along with information regarding their history and construction.

· All of the Lace examples are in clear protective covering, however, I would suggest that you bring a cup with a lid for your drinks?
· To preserve the integrity of these Lace examples and the documentation, it is important that all food and drink be kept away from the pieces and clean hands are a must.
· A limited number of Cotton gloves are included in the Lace Box.

Contents of the Lace Box include:

Brief history/overview of lace, Needle Lace, Bobbin Lace, Tatting and Crochet and Filet Lace. (These overviews would be helpful to read aloud as folks are looking at the various examples)
